Have a Coke and a Brain

Another pre-Photoshop montage for a History of Communications class project I did in 1996.

The super-saturated giant orange brain against the aqua water was really appealing to me.

The SCUBA diver pumping the underwater brain with a huge bottle of Coke is both troubling and maybe nurturing.

The strange orientation of the entire scene was a result of needing to use the brain cutout to cover a enormous tortoise in the orignal image. With Adobe Photoshop, I could just make the brain bigger. Not so with the piece of paper.

Overall, it's nicely surreal, I think.
