The Valentine's Day Automaton

The automaton depicts a poor fellow in search of a Valentine's day card. He's having some difficulty, and not for a lack of options. In fact, his problem might be caused by too many options. Despite hundreds of cards on display, none match the sentiments he feels and is printed on the front of the piece:

Which card says 'I love you' as much as I really do?

When the crank is rotated the carousel of cards on the right spins to display all sides. The attention-grabbing heart display on the left jumps up and down. Our poor protagonist is overwhelmed with choices and furiously scans the choices by swinging his head back and forth.
